The natural environment or natural world encompasses all living and non-living things occurring naturally, meaning in this case not artificial. The term is most often applied to the Earth or some parts of Earth.

  • Environment can be defined as one’s surroundings, which includes everything around an organism i.e., a biotic (non-living) and biotic (living) environment.

  • Abiotic environment consists of soil, water and air, while the biotic environment includes all other organisms. They constantly interact with it and adapt themselves to conditions in their environment.

  • Everything that makes up our surroundings and affects our ability to live on the earth—the air we breathe, the water that covers most of the earth's surface, the plants and animals around us.
