Environment in short is the surrounding space in which we as a human being live. It includes both natural and man made components.

Natural elements of environment are air, earth, vegetation, water (rivers, lakes, oceans, groundwater) , animals, humans etc.

Man Made elements are houses, schools, vehicles, roads, buildings, offices, shopping malls and market, dams, bridges etc

Both natural components and human components are mutually interconnected. For example Houses ( which is a man made element)  need an Earth space (which is a Natural element)

Human elements would become meaningless and could not survive  without the natural components. But ironically this delicate man-nature relationship has been diminished by the shortsighted activities of humans like reckless destruction natural vegetation, over urbanization, release of excessive pollution and green house gases etc. Thus need of the hour is to take immediate actions to bring about a balance in this skewed human-nature relationship.
