The short form of Environment Information System is ENVIS.

ENVIS is a network which works under many centres.

This network has 70 centres in which 30 centres are initiated by government forest department and rest of the 40 centres is initiated by both government and non-governmental organization.

This system is a portal created for the betterment of environment and to improve the development policies.

The ENVIS portal link from which we can get any information related to scientist, environmentalist, research centre located in many places.
