An epidemic is the rapid spread of disease to a large number of people in a given population within a short period of time.
Precautions to be taken during an Epidemic:-
1) Maintain Hygiene - Ensure that all the household items, floors and other daily life items are well sanitized. Never eat uncovered food.
2) Wear Protective Clothing - One should wear proper protective clothes like masks, goggles and full sleeve clothes to prevent the virus or other microorganism from reaching the body.
3) Hand wash and Bathing - Washing hands regularly with water for atleast 20 seconds and taking bath twice a day to ensure that the deadly microorganisms get wiped off the body.
4) Social Distancing - Ensure social distancing i.e. Avoid handshakes and physical contacts, maintain a distance of 2 metres from person to person.
5) Taking Help of Governments - Listen to the latest updates by government on radio and Tvs, they can provide the latest and up to date information about the epidemic.
