Dominant epistasis is when only one allele of the gene that showsepistasis can mask alleles of the other gene. Recessive epistasisis where two alleles have to be inherited in order for the phenotype of the second gene to be masked.

Epistasis -when gene masks each other's effect or combine to create a new trait.
Recessive Epistasis -when it is a recessive allele that masks the expression.
Dominant Epistasis -in this type of Epistasis dominant allele of one gene can cause masking effect on the expression of alleles at another locus.
