Answer:

In algebra, an equation can be defined as a mathematical statement consisting of an equal symbol between two algebraic expressions that have the same value. The most basic and common algebraic in math consist of one or more variables.

Answer:

An equation can be said to be an observation or statement in which both the sides are equal and hence have an '=' or equal sign between them .

Some examples of equations :

2 + 3 = 5

In this equation the left hand side or LHS is equal to the right hand side or RHS as we can see that 2 + 3 in left is equal to the 5 in the right .

4 + x = 6

This would also be an equation , but the only difference is that we are using a variable -( a letter used to indicate the value of unknown numbers) - in place of a number . Here too we can see that the equation has an equal sign between it's LHS and RHS .

Hence 1 thing which is common in all equations are :

LHS or left hand side will be = the RHS or right hand side .
