The imaginary axis which divides the Earth into 2 equal parts (SEMI-CIRCLE) is known EQUATOR.

HEMISPHERE :-

The parts which are divided by the equator is known as HEMISPHERE. There are two hemispheres namely, NORTHERN HEMISPHERE (Northern Part) & SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE (Southern Part).
