The voltage across each resistor in parallel is the same. The total resistance of a set of resistors in parallel is found by adding up the reciprocals of the resistance values, and then taking the reciprocal of the total: equivalent resistance of resistors in parallel: 1 / R = 1 / R1 + 1 / R2 + 1 / R3 +...

In circuit R4 is in parallel and R2 & R3 are in series So, first connect the R2 & R3 in series
Rs = R2 + R3
Rs = 3ohms + 3 ohms
Rs= 6ohms hence R23 = 6 ohms
Then, by connecting R23 & R4 in parallel
1/Rp = 1/R23 + 1/R4
1/Rp = 1/6 + 1/3
1/Rp = 3 + 6/18
1/Rp = 9/18 ohms
Rp = 18/9
Rp = 2 ohms
hence R234 = 2ohms
Now. connect all the resistor in series i.e. R234 + R5 + R1
Rs = R234. + R1 + R5
Rs = 2 ohms + 3 ohms + 3 ohms
Rs = 8 ohms
Hence the equivalent resistance of the circuit is 8 ohms
Rs = R2 + R3
Rs = 3ohms + 3 ohms
Rs= 6ohms hence R23 = 6 ohms
Then, by connecting R23 & R4 in parallel
1/Rp = 1/R23 + 1/R4
1/Rp = 1/6 + 1/3
1/Rp = 3 + 6/18
1/Rp = 9/18 ohms
Rp = 18/9
Rp = 2 ohms
hence R234 = 2ohms
Now. connect all the resistor in series i.e. R234 + R5 + R1
Rs = R234. + R1 + R5
Rs = 2 ohms + 3 ohms + 3 ohms
Rs = 8 ohms
Hence the equivalent resistance of the circuit is 8 ohms
