Answer:

Explanation:

                           ERROR

Error is the difference between the actual value and calculated value of any physical quantity.

TYPES

3Types;

  • Determinate error
  • indeterminate error
  • Gross error

DETERMINATE ERROR;

  • have definite value and can be measured or counted
  • have magnitude which can be determined
  • can be avoided or  eliminated by proper precaoutions
  • have source which can be located to make the result higher (+ve error) or (-ve error)

TYPES;

  1. Operational error
  2. Methodic error
  3. Personal error ⇒⇒⇒⇒2 types
  4. Instrumental error

INDETERMINATE ERROR

  • also called random error
  • Its sources are not actually known
  • can;t be eliminated or minimized
  • always exist in measurement

Sources

  • electrical fluctuation
  • Dust and humidity factor

statistics is only applied to estimate these types of errors

TYPES

  1. Constant error
  2. proportional error

GROSS ERROR

  • very rare
  • could'nt be minimized or avoided
  • but by seriousness and care
  • also called accidental error

Answer:

An error is an action which is inaccurate or incorrect. In some usages, an error is synonymous with a mistake. In statistics, "error" refers to the difference between the value which has been computed and the correct value. An error could result in failure or in a deviation from the intended performance or behaviour.
