EST is ester...it is formed when etanol is mixed with ethanoic acid...

it is used as flavouring agent....in manufacturing of soap.... perfumes.....

CH3COOH+C2H5OH ------------COOC2H5+H2O......


ethanoic acid+ethanol-----ester+water......
