Estrogen is a hormone that plays various roles in the body. In females, it helps develop and maintain both the reproductive system and female characteristics, such as breasts and pubic hair.

Functions:-

Explanation:Estrogen is chemical released by the growing ovarian follical during the menstrual cycle.

When the menstrual cycle starts the GnRH (ganadotrophin releasing hormone) is released by the hypothalamus which trigger release of LH(lutinizing hormone) and FSH(follical stimulating hormone) by the pituitary gland.

This triggers the primary ovarian follical to release estrogen which regulates the growing follical.
