Hello Mate ❤️

Eutrophication is the process in which a water body becomes overly enriched with nutrients, leading to plentiful growth of simple plant life.

Basically, when untreated sewage is thrown into water bodies. It leads to a rapid growth of algae over the surface of that water body because sewage is kind of manure. When large no. of algae grows over the surface of water body know as algal bloom. It cuts of the diffusion of O2 into that water body and light. Thus, the aquatic organisms in that water body die due to lack of sunlight and mainly oxygen. This whole process is knowm as eutrophication.
