Some times.... over fertilizers are used in the growth of crops.... these over fertilizers go to the nearby stream or river while raining and give birth to plants like duckweed etc this duckweed trap the oxygen to go inside the water and lead to a hazard to marine life..... In simple language we can say that EUTROPHICATION is the process by which a body of water becomes enriched in dissolved nutrients (such as phosphates) that stimulate the growth of aquatic plant life usually resulting in the depletion of dissolved oxygen.
