Evaporation is the process of a substance in liquid state changes in a gaseous state due to increase in temperature .

Its a fundamental part of the water cycle and is constantly occurring throughout nature. It is the opposite process of condensation.

For example:- Hot tea gets cool over time due to evaporation.

*Changing of a liquid into gaseous form is called evaporation. In this method the mixture is heated. The liquid part of the mixture evaporates and escapes, leaving the solid part behind. For example, a mixture of common salt and water can be seperated by evaporation. In fact evaporating seawater is one of the oldest ways of obtaining salt.*
