what is evolution? what is lamarkism?
Answers
Evolution is defined as a slow change in the body design and other characteristics of an organism over a long period that ultimately causes speciation (formation of new species from existing ones).
There are three stages associated with the creation of life on earth. They are :
✪ Chemical evolution
✪ Bio Chemical Evolution
✪ Organic Evolution
It is the production of simple inorganic compounds from different molecules present in the atmosphere due to chemical reaction and followed by production of many body building compounds from simple inorganic compounds gradually.
Introduction of virus like organic particles from the combination of organic compounds is called Bio chemical evolution.
Gradual evolution of viruses and other primitive simple organisms for thousands of years into present day complex organisms is known as organic evolution.

Lamarkism is an organic revolutionary theory proposed by Jean Baptiste de Lamerck. This theory is based on :
❈ Influence of environment
❈ New organs as a result of need
❈ Use and disuse of organs
❈ Inheritance of acquired characters
New needs force animals to put additional efforts and acquire new features. These brought changes in their morphology and physiology and led to evolution.
➸ For example the long neck of giraffe was explained as an outcome of constantly stretching their necks to eat leaves on upper branches of trees.
