》It is known as the main site for synthesis of rRNA, i.e., Ribosomal RNA synthesis.

》Nucleolus lacks membrane. It has no membrane surrounding it.

》It is not separated from the other parts of the nucleoplasm.

》Nucleolus is thought to be an acidophilic body.

》Most of the protein synthesis takes place in Nucleolus.
