“What is exactly the difference between zero and root of a polynomial?”
_______________...
Many times some people told me to use "root" in place of "zero" or sometimes vice - versa. Both have same function but there must be some difference.

Well that's nice question !
Zero is for polynomial ( which makes p(x) whole zero )
eg 2x²+2
While root is for equation ( which makes p(x) = 0 whole zero )
eg 2x²+2 = 0
Step-by-step explanation:
ANSWER:-
The same question , our Maths sir asks every day, so it's very easy. Let us consider an example.
Here, we have 2 cases.
I don't know whether the equation is equal to zero or not.
So, case 1, Equal to Zero.
Case 2 Not equal to zero.
Case 1:-
Its equal to zero. So, we need the zeroes of Polynomial.
Case 2:-
It's not equal to zero. Hence, we find roots of a Equation.
But, there's a relation.
The main difference is not here, but Difference in a Polynomial and a Equation.
An equation is always " equal to " zero.
But for polynomial , it is not constant.
Conclusion:-
- A polynomial, so we need to find the zeroes.
- A quadratic or any Equation , we find the roots.
So, that's the main difference. It's minor, but it needs to be considered.
