releasing of waste substances from our body is called excretion. Unicellular organisms have food vacuoles in them. they move that vacuole and release it .

The unicellular organisms perform excretion via the cell membrane with the help of the process of diffusion.

Diffusion: Process in which a substance gets transported from a region where it is present in high concentration to a place where it is present in low concentration.

It is similar to the process of osmosis in which the molecules present in a solvent  move to the region of low concentration via a semipermeable membrane.
