What is excretion? How the urine is excreted out?

2. The matter, such as urine or sweat, that is so excreted.


Urine is formed in the kidneys through a filtration of blood. The urine is then passed through the ureters to the bladder, where it is stored. During urination, the urine is passed from the bladder through the urethra to the outside of the body.

Urine is excreted by the kidneys which extract the waste and then release the urine by the process of micturition.


The removal of unwanted metabolic wastes from our body is defined as excretion.


Excretion is removal of harmful nitrogeneous wastes such as urea , ammonia and others from our body.


Excretion is a necessary and compulsory process for survival .
