<> The are the functionaries to take day to day decisions but the final power do not rests with them in a democracy.

<> In India there are two type of Executive : -

1st - Political Executive

2nd - Permanent Executive

<> Political executive are the people chosen by the citizens of India they usually have less knowledge about their Ministries but the final power of the ministry rest in their hand they remain in the office for shorter period of time and have to resign when the government changes they are usually appointed by the Prime Minister of India.

<> Permanent executive other people who serve the nation as civil servants. they usually have more knowledge but less power in their hand they remain in the office for longer period of time and hence called permanent executive history in the office even if the government changes and appointed on long term basis.

<>The the political executive have more power as they are chosen by the people and in a democracy like India the will of the people matters the most.

<> Political executive don't have much knowledge about their Ministries this happens oftenly in Ministries like Health Ministry Education Ministry Foreign Ministry Science and Technology Ministry etc.
