A reaction in which heat is evolved out is called exothermic reaction. A reaction in which heat is needed is called endothermic reaction examples are as follows: 2H2O ------heat----> 2H2 +O2 is an example of endothermic reaction and Fe + Al2O3 ----------> Fe2O3 + Al is an example of exothermic reaction it is also called thermite reaction. please please mark me as brainliest. if you have any doubts ask me in comments.

1) Exothermic reactions - Those reactions in which heat is evolved .

♥ Examples :-

(i) C (s) + O2 (g) → CO2 (g) + Heat

(ii) N2 (g) + 3H2 (g) → 2NH3 (g) + Heat

2) Endothermic reactions - Those reactions in which heat is absorbed .

♥ Examples :-

(i) C (s) + 2S (s) → CS2 (l) – Heat

(ii) N2 (g) + O2 (g) → 2NO(g) – Heat
