Oersted or (Oe) is the cgs unit for measuring Magnetic field strength which is denoted by (H). This is named by the scientist Oersted based on his experiment in this field. 1 Oe = (10³/4.π) A/m = 79.578 A/m. A/m or Ampere/meter is the SI unit of Magnetic field strength.
