Answer:

The external genitalia are the accessory structures of the female reproductive system that are external to the vagina. They are also referred to as the vulva or pudendum. The external genitalia include the labia majora, mons pubis, labia minora, clitoris, and glands within the vestibule.

The female external genitalia include the following parts that lead to the vaginal opening :-

  • Mons pubis- It's a cushion of fatty tissue covered by skin and pubic hair.

  • Labia majora- These are fleshy folds of tissue which extend down from the mons pubis and surround the vaginal opening.

  • Labia minora- These are paired folds of tissue located under the labia majora.

  • Hymen- It's a layer which partially covers the opening of the vagina.

  • Clitoris- It's a small finger-like structure which lies at the upper junction of the two labia minora, above the urethral opening.
