Here is a example -

|5x+30|=10x  okay?

Now the answer to this is -6 and 6.

As I was writing the problem, I noticed that -6 was no where in the equation. But 6 was.

therefore 6 is the solution because it was in the equation as i wrote it down.

-6 is the extraneous solution because it was no where in the problem solving.
