Heya friend!!
Rajdeep here....

There are some places (in India) which are located near the sea coast and some places are located far away from the sea. The places which are located near the sea (eg. Mumbai, Kochi, etc) experience the moderating effect of the sea, i.e., they experience EQUABLE type of climate, where summers are not too hot and winters are not too cold.

Again, the places which are located in the interior of the country (eg. Allahabad, Agra, etc) do not get the moderating influence of the sea, hence, they experience EXTREME type of climate, where summers are extremely hot and winters are extremely cold. This type of climate is also called as Continental or Maritime climate.

Hope my answer is satisfactory!
Thanks..
