Defects of the eye: Myopia: (nearsightedness) This is a defectof vision in which far objects appear blurred but near objects are seen clearly. The image is focused in front of the retina rather than on it usually because the eyeball is too long or the refractive power of the eye's lens too strong

Heya mate,Here is ur answer
For a myopic eye, the far point becomes less than the infinity.
The image of the object doesn't reaches the retina and formes before retina and a person gets a blurred image.
This can be because of :
1)excessive curvature of the eye ball
2)elongation of the eye ball.
This can be corrected by using a concave lens of suitable power that will diverge the light rays and will bring the image back on the retina and thus the defect is corrected.
