Fact means a thing that is known to be true. For eg. ' Tomatoes are fruits '

Opinion means a judgement about something or a view of something. (here, by the word 'view' I mean someone's point of view, not the view of a place)

For eg. " In my opinion, you should be there for them." Here the speaker gave the person an opinion for them (the person) to be there.

Facts are also given in the form like 'fun facts' and 'new facts'. You may find facts in your textbooks or any magazines for kids or teens.

Opinions are given at a place where either you can't find answers for something (not questions-answers you find in studies) or you are stuck in a situation where a person can help you by giving an opinion just how I mentioned in the above given example, the speaker has advised the person to be there.
