The February revolution according to ncert , started with a peasant's uprising in France bringing in the educated middle class in the uprising , due to the events of February 1848 in France had brought about the abdication of monarch and a republic based on universal male suffrage. This revolt spread to other parts of Europe and soon people started demanding creation of a nation state on parliamentary principles - a constitution , freedom of press and freedom of association.
