between a central authority and various constituent units of the
country.
The values that can be associated with federalism are ’
(i) It safeguards and promotes the unity of the country, while at the same time accommodate regional diversity.

(iii) As the people of each member state enjoy large measures of self-government, their interest in public affairs is stimulated. A federal system thus provides schools of political education. ’
