Fertilization is the fusion of male gamete with the female gamete.

Once the pollen grains settle on the stigma of the flower they form pollen tube.

The pollen tube grows towards the ovary through style.

Once the pollen tube reaches the ovary its tip dissolves to release the pollen grain.

Pollen grain inside the ovary finally fuses with one of the ovules and forms zygote.
