Fertilization is the process by which male and female gametes are fused together, initiating the development of a new organism.
The male gamete or ’sperm’, and the female gamete, ’egg’ or ’ovum’ are specialized sex cells, which fuse together to begin the formation of a zygote during a process called sexual reproduction.

fertilization involve the fusion of male and female gamete the male and female gamete are released from the male and female reproductive sperms are released from the male reproductive organs penis . There sperms then enter female body through vagina. then,, they travel through the fellopian tube where they meet the eggs,,hence the process of fertilisation takes place in the fallopian tube.
