hii..

Filtration is defined as the physical method which is used for the separation of insoluble solids from liquids by passing them through a medium through which only the liquid can pass. Example teal leaves are separated from the fluid by filtering them using a sieve.

Hi there!,

Filtration is the process in which we separate the solids which are  insoluble in liquids. Filtration can be done by using a porous or filter paper. It allows the fluid to pass through leaving the insoluble particles on the filter paper.  Example- when we mix sand in water, it doesn't mix because it is insoluble in water. When we filter it with filter paper, the sand particles will be seen on the filter paper and the water will be there in the beaker.

Hope it helps!
