Answer : The first law of thermodynamics is a version of the law of conservation of energy, adapted for thermodynamic processes, distinguishing two kinds of transfer of energy, as heat and as thermodynamic work, and relating them to a function of a body's state, called Internal energy.

The First Law of Thermodynamics (Conservation) states that energy is always conserved, it cannot be created or destroyed. In essence, energy can be converted from one form into another.

The first law of thermodynamics, also known as the law of conservation of energy, states that "The total energy of an isolated system remains constant though it may change from one form to another."

The mathematical statement of the First Law is ΔU = q + w

Where,

q - the amount of heat supplied to system

w - work done on the system
