Fleming Left Hand Rule . It is found that whenever an current carrying conductor is placed inside a magnetic field, a force acts on the conductor, in a direction perpendicular to both the directions of the current and the magnetic field

Stretch your index finger, the middle finger and thumb of the left hand such that they are perpendicular to each other.
If the index finger is in the direction of magnetic field and the middle finger points in the direction of current , the thumb will point towards the direction of the force on the conductor.
