Flower is the colorful and attractive part of plants. Flowers, however, differ in their shape, size, colour and smell.

Function of the flower are :-

  • It is the organ of reproduction in plants and it grows into the fruit and seed.

  • Flowering plants are grown in houses Gardens park and roadside for their brilliant colours, beautiful shape and fragrance. Flowers of some plants are also used for interior decoration. Even some non flowering plants are ornamental.

  • Flowers yield perfumes or scents. Some of the common perfume flowers are Rose, Jasmine, Korea and lavender.

  • Cloves, so often used as spice, and in the medicines, are the dried flower buds of the Clove plant .
