We know that whenever a solid object moves over some solid surface of another object frictional force come into play these opposes the relative motion between the two surfaces in contact . But what happens when an object moves through air ? what do you think ? the yeah also exerts of force of friction even though year itself is very light and thin we call this friction as air resistance it also opposes the motion of object throw it. Like air, water and other liquid also exert of force of friction when object move through them . Thus, we can say that fluids too exert force of friction on objects moving through them . The force of friction on an object in a fluid , depends on the ----------»

★ Nature of the fluid .

★ Shape of the moving object (area of contact )

★ Speed of the moving object (with respect to the fluid.
