What is fluid mossaic model of cell?

this was given to explain the structure of plasma membrane.....fluid represents the lipid which is present in the form of a bimolecular layer....and mosaic represents the protein...which is either on the peripherry or embeded in the lipid layer........both, proteins and lipids are movable....
