What is focus length of a mirror? What is the relation between focus distance and radius of curvature?
Ans.
Length from the spherical pole of the mirror to the main focus is called focus length. Focus length of a mirror is half the radius of curvature. Focus Length= Radius of curvature/2

Answer:

The focus length of the mirror is defined as the distance of the focus point from the pole of the mirror.

It is also defined as the distance at which the light rays coming from an infinite distance converge or appear to converge, which means it is the distance from the pole of the mirror where the image of an object, placed at infinity, is formed.

Also, if some object is placed at this distance, then its image is formed at infinity.

The focus length is always half the radius of curvature of a mirror.

Therefore,

\rm Focus\ distance =\dfrac{Radius\ of\ curvature}{2}.
