Food security means availability, accessibility, affordability of food to all people at all time.
1. Providing enough food for all the persons.
2. Enabling all the persons to buy food of acceptable quality.
3. Removing barrier on the access to food.

Food security is affected during calamities like drought, floods etc
a. It creates shortage of food.
b. Increases the prices of food.
c. It affects the overall supply of the food.
d. Due to hike in prices poor become the worst target as they cannot afford.
e. If this situation prevails for a long time it leads to starvation deaths and famine.

The following are the three dimensions of food security:

a) Availability of food- It means the overall food production in the country, stocks from previous years and imports should be sufficient enough to meet the requirements.

b) Accessibilty of food- It means that food should be within the reach of every person. There should be no barrier on access to food. It is linked to the supply chain or distribution system of food to ensure its accessibility in markets.

c) Affordability of food- It means that individuals have adequate resources to buy sufficient, nutritious and safe food for their requirements. It is linked to food prices as well as individual incomes........hope it help you .pls mark me as brainliest
