what is force and motion and what are it's types?
Answers
A force is a push or pull acting upon an object as a result of its interaction with another object. There are a variety of types of forces
Frictional Force
Gravitational Force
Tensional Force
Electrical Force
Normal Force
Magnetic Force
Air Resistance Force
Applied Force
Spring Force
Motion
the action or process of moving or being moved is called motion
Rotary Motion
Oscillating Motion
Linear Motion
What is force ?
- Force is defined as a push or pull.
- It is calculated as :
Force = Mass × Acceleration.
- It is denoted by F.
- F = kg × ms^-2
- It's SI unit is kg ms^-2 or N ( Newton ).
The effects of force are as follows :-
1) The force can bring an object into motion. For example :- kicking a football makes it to come into motion.
2) The force can bring an object to rest. For example : - Friction b/w the ground and the football stops the football after some distance.
3)Force can change shape & size of an object .
For example :- When we press sponge, it's shape changes. Similar is the case of a string.
Types of force :-
- Basically they are divided into two types :-
1 . Contact forces
2. Non contact forces.
What is motion ?
- A body is said to be in motion when it changes it's position with respect to its surroundings.
Types of motion :
- Basically motion is of two types :
1. Uniform motion
2. Non - uniform motion.
