What is force ?
- Force is defined as a push or pull.
- It is calculated as :
Force = Mass × Acceleration.
- It is denoted by F.
- F = kg × ms^-2
- It's SI unit is kg ms^-2 or N ( Newton ).
- It can cause motion , stop motion, change shape and size of a body , change direction of motion , etc.
What is pressure ?
- Pressure is defined as the force applied on per unit area.
- It is calculated as :-
Pressure = Force / area
- It's unit is N m^-2 or Pa ( Pascal ).
- The surface area is inversely proportional to the pressure applied.
- Force is directly proportional to the pressure applied.
