Answer:

The buoyant force is the upward force exerted on an object wholly or partly immersed in a fluid. This upward force is also called Upthrust. Due to the buoyant force, a body submerged partially or fully in a fluid appears to lose its weight, i.e. appears to be lighter.

Answer:

The buoyant force is the upward force exerted on an object wholly or partly immersed in a fluid. This upward force is also called Up thrust. Due to the buoyant force, a body submerged partially or fully in a fluid appears to lose its weight, i.e. appears to be lighter. This is called as Force of Buoyancy.

Characteristics of Force of Buoyancy are :

1) The density of the fluid

2) The volume of the fluid displaced

3) The local acceleration due to gravity

Existence: Archimedes' Principle is the fact that buoyant force is equal to the weight of the displaced fluid.

For example:

Boat sailing on the river, Iceberg floating on water, A person with a life vest floating on water, Ship floating on the ocean, Helium balloon rising in the air, etc. The buoyant force is proportional to the density.
