This force is static friction force, which is the force exerted on the surface by another when there is no motion between the two surfaces. Static friction force acts in response to a force trying to cause a stationary object to start moving.

hey buddy !! here's your answer...
➡️the force of friction is an opposing force which comes into play between two surfaces in contact like solid surface , fluid layers .
it opposes the relative motion of the body .
➡️there are four types of friction - static , sliding, rolling , fluid friction.
it depends on two factors --
✔️surfaces in contact ... means which surface is rough or smooth
✔️the force pushing two surfaces together.
hope it helps !! ❤️✌️
