Contact force occurs due to the contact between two different objects. Non-contact force occurs due to either attraction or repulsion between two objects such that there is no contact between these objects. There is no field linked with the contact force.

Force can cause a body with mass to chane its velocity,i.e.,to accelerate.

Difference,

Contact forces-These forces are needed to apply effort to the body to cause motion. For example-reaction force.

non-contact forces-These forces are not needed to apply effort. These can cause motion from a distance by their impact. For example-magnetic force.
