Ciao,
when a free oscillating system is subjected yo an external periodic force ,then firced vibration will take place.
e.g when mass of the simple pendulum is struck repeatedly, produce forced vibration.
( and tge physical system undergoing force vibration is called driven harmonic oscillator )
