Hey
Here's your answer !!
The formula to know number of electrons in a given shell is -----> 2n² .
( where, n is the number of the shell ) .
_____
For example ,
For the first shell ( K )
No . of electrons will be
2 * ( 1 )² = 2 * 1 = 2.
For the second shell ( L )
No . of electrons will be
2 * ( 2 )² = 2 * 4 = 8.
For the third shell ( M )
No . of electrons will be
2 * ( 3 )² = 2 * 9 = 18 .
For the fourth shell ( N )
No . of electrons will be
2 * ( 4 )² = 2 * 16 = 32.
and so on...
Hope it helps !!

By using this formula you can find the no electron present in their shell
Their are K, L, M, N, O, P.... shell now
By using 2n.square we can find shell
Now see,,, k it is 1 now using formula
2*1square =2*1=2
Now, L 2*2square =2*4=8
Now M, 2*3sqaure =2*9=18
Like that N, O, P
