A fraction represents a part of a whole or, more generally, any number of equal parts. When spoken in everyday English, a fraction describes how many parts of a certain size there are, for example, one-half, eight-fifths, three-quarters.

For a group of fractions to be like, they have to have the same number in the denominator. ... For fractions to be unlike, they have to have different numbers in the denominator. In other words, they have to have different numbers on the bottom of the fraction bar.

Hey mate ,

Fraction simply tells you how many parts of a whole we have . We can recognize a fraction by a slash that is written between two numbers . We have top number a numerator , and bottom number a denimonator . Ex - 1/2 fraction.

Like fraction : fraction with the same denimonator ( bottom number ) .
