if the boiling point of the two liquids which form a solution before only by a small temperature difference (greater than 25 K ), the fractional distillation is carried out using a fractionating column.....

Answer:

Fractional distillation is the separation of a mixture into its component parts, or fractions. Chemical compounds are separated by heating them to a temperature at which one or more fractions of the mixture will vaporize.

Explanation:

The column in a fractionating column holds the material used in the fractionation process that creates the fractionation and causes the separation between two components with different boiling points.
