Freeze panes option helps to freeze or keep the column or row constant while scrolling vertically or horizontally.

To do so follow the steps :-

• Select the top row or left column.
• Click on the freeze panes option in the windows group in view tab.
• There are three options under freeze panes option.
• The first option, freeze panes, helps to freeze multiple rows or columns.
• The second option, freeze top row, freezes the first row of the worksheet.
• The last option, freeze first column, freezes the first column of the worksheet.
