It was a period of change in France which began on 14th of July 1789 in the kingdom of France in the city of Paris and ended in late 1790s with the Rise of Napoleon Bonaparte
Causes of Revolution ::
- People were protesting on high prices of bread which was the staple diet, often bakers exploited the situation and hoarded supplies.
- People were not happy with the policies of the monarch Louis XVI as he imposed high taxes for the people of third estate only.
Effects of Revolution ::
- In the year 1789, after storming of Bastille the censorship was abolished.
- The declaration of rights of Men and citizen proclaimed freedom of speech and expressions to be a natural right.
